Guys, I thought that I would have something figured out for this challenge today, but I haven’t.
The one thing I know for certain is that this challenge will definitely not involve me riding a bicycle for any distance.
The fact is that I am terrified of riding, and just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach. I don’t see this going away, guys.
I am going to take a bicycle riding safety course in the spring, and hopefully it goes well. If it does not, I’m selling my bike and that’s that. It’s a real ‘done with fish’, situation.
For those of y’all who didn’t watch Adaptation and have writer’s block for a decade, this is what about I am quoting:
I’m thinking about what I can do in lieu of a cycling challenge. So many of my readers are excited by this challenge that I hate to not have something of similar, if not equal stature, in its place. Something that involves running or walking, probably. Definitely not swimming. Less than a marathon, probably, but longer than a 5k. Somewhere in between a 10k and a half marathon is the sweet spot, I think. I’ll think about it, and I’ll let you all know next time this topic comes back up.
